ALLIANCES

Ohio Cultural Alliance will have a dinner meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 9 at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. Bill Conti, president of the auditorium association’s board of trustees, will present a history of the building, and Dr. Ronald Gould will perform on the recently restored Skinner pipe organ. There will be an opportunity to tour the building before the meeting. Memberships are available for $25 per person; the cost of each meeting is $15 for paid-up members and $20 for nonmembers. Reservations for this event should be mailed to OCA, PO. Box 561, Canfield, OH 44406-0561 no later than Jan. 3. Those attending are asked to take nonperishable items for St. Columba Food Pantry.

ASSOCIATIONS

Mill Creek Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will meet Jan. 10 at the Elm Tree Hall in Struthers. Networking will start at 6 p.m., and dinner will begin at 6:30. The cost of the buffet-style meal is $16.50 and includes baked chicken, stuffed cabbage, macaroni salad, haluski and dessert. The guest speaker will be Kristen Gallagher from HandsOn Volunteer Network. CLASSES

Chaney High School January and June Classes of 1942 will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s Restaurant, 4927 Mahoning Ave., Austintown. No reservations are required, and all classmates and friends are welcome.

Warren Women’s Connection will sponsor a “New Year-New You” luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 9 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. Janeen Nichols from Hour Spa will be featured, and Marci McComb will speak on her extreme makeover experience. Musician Gina Gable will perform. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Altar and Rosary Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday for the rosary in the church followed by a meeting in the church hall at 618 Ohio Ave.

St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the parish house.

Youngstown South Christian Women’s Connection will host “A Brand New Day” luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 11 at Avion on the Water, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. The program will feature “Tracing Your Family Tree” by Joann Cook and music by April Heeter and Alison Hall. The guest speaker will be Jennifer Ebaugh. The cost to attend is $13 and includes lunch. D.A.R.E. Singles Group, a social group for divorced, widowed and separated people, meets at 7:30 p.m. each Thursday at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road. The following activities are planned: Wednesday, walking at Southern Park Mall, meet at the food court at 6 p.m.; Thursday, game night at the church at 7:30 p.m.; and Dec. 30, meet in the lobby at Movies 8 in Shops of Boardman Park at 6:30 p.m.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Nar-Anon, a 12-step program for relatives and friends who have been adversely affected by a loved one’s addiction to drugs, meets at 7 p.m. Fridays at the Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic, 160 Clifton NE, Howland. For more information call 330-856-3822.

Reformers Unanimous, a national Christ-centered addictions program headquartered in Rockford, Ill., meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Fridays at Glenwood Christian Fellowship, 7872 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. The program is open to all adults who struggle with an addiction or a stubborn habit.

TOPS 1262, McDonald, meets Wednesdays in the senior citizens room at the post office building. Weigh-in is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., and the meeting will follow. New members are welcome.

TOPS 1497, Austintown, will meet from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Niles Canfield Road. New members are welcome; the first meeting is free. For more information call 330-759-4737.
