The Youngstown area chapter of Project Linus has received a $1,000 grant from The Hope Foundation of Mahoning Valley, whose mission is the furtherance of charitable support and volunteer services for chronically and terminally ill children. Project Linus volunteers throughout the U.S. make new blankets for seriously ill and traumatized children. The local group meets every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tod Avenue Methodist Church in Warren. For more information on Project Linus call Pat DeAscentis at 330-758-7888.
