A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland and Boardman townships:

POLAND

Dec. 10

Harassment: A Dobbins Road woman reported having been harassed.

Dec. 13

Theft: A Parkway Drive man told police he saw another man in his vehicle who fled. Missing was $3.

Dec. 15

Breaking and entering: Someone broke into a home in the 1800 block of Coit Road.

Dec. 17

Burglary: Ninety-seven medications were stolen from an apartment someone had entered in the 6600 block of Katahdin Drive.

Dec. 19

Attempted theft: Someone tried to steal property from a residence in the 4000 block of Via Cassia Drive.

BOARDMAN

Dec. 16

Counterfeit: Two people used five phony $10 bills to pay for a $42 food order at Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 1320 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft/damage: Someone broke a vehicle’s window at a South Avenue restaurant before removing a purse and three MP3 players.

Theft: A man discovered his wallet missing at a Doral Drive grocery store.

Theft: A Youngstown girl, 17, was charged with stealing a $25 necklace from Spencer Gifts in the Southern Park Mall, then released to the custody of a guardian.

Domestic violence: Authorities charged Jessica L. Williams, 23, of 1807 Brandon Ave., Youngstown, with the crime after her boyfriend alleged Williams had punched his head and face several times during an argument.

Theft: Lori A. Smith, 50, of 581 E. Pigeon Drive, Salem, was arrested on a warrant after having been accused of stealing $72 worth of merchandise from Sears in the Southern Park Mall. Smith also was wanted by Liberty Township police on a theft charge.

Dec. 17

Criminal damaging: Someone threw a rock and did $200 in damage to the front windshield of a car traveling east on U.S. Route 224.

Auto theft: A 1996 Honda Accord was stolen at the Southern Park Mall.

Domestic violence: Police charged 23-year-old Kristen C. Jarrett, 4029 Hopkins Road, Boardman, with the crime after responding to a fight in a car near West Boulevard. A man alleged Jarrett, who was released on bond, punched his face and head as he drove.

Theft: A 32-inch TV and a DVD player were among items taken from a car in the 800 block of Boardman-Poland Road.

Misuse of a credit card: A New Castle, Pa., woman found out her credit card was used without permission to make an $82 purchase at a Boardman-Canfield Road gas station.

Domestic violence: Luis A. Gonzalez, 41, of 137 Newport Drive, Boardman, surrendered on a domestic-violence charge. Gonzalez’s wife alleged he had shoved her by the arms during an argument, nearly causing her to fall backward.

Burglary: To a residence in the 7000 block of Glenwood Avenue, from which a plasma TV, $350, a Sony PlayStation 3 system and an MP3 player were taken. The loss came to $2,210.

Dec. 18

Identity fraud: A Youngstown woman who swiped her credit card at a Southern Park Mall store reported noticing a suspicious man next to her, then discovering her card was used to make numerous unauthorized purchases.

Theft: Five pieces of jewelry were stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Garver Drive, for an $800 loss.

Theft: A 16-year-old Poland boy was charged in the theft of $46 worth of Pokemon cards from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Auto theft: A 1994 Honda Accord was stolen at the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A Beloit woman told authorities a man stole her purse at a Doral Drive store and fled on foot.

Dec. 19

Criminal mischief: A vehicle drove through several times and damaged a lawn in the 400 block of Orlo Lane.

Harassment: A Wildwood Drive man reported getting six or seven such calls.

Attempted auto theft: Someone tried to steal two vehicles, including a 1999 GMC Yukon, from Kmax Inc., 695 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Arrest: A traffic stop on East Midlothian Boulevard resulted in 22-year-old Melanee T. Patton’s arrest. Patton, of 3019 Oregon Ave., Youngstown, was wanted on a probation-violation charge from Campbell.

Fraud: A Sciota Avenue man discovered a $70 fraudulent transaction to his checking account.

Domestic violence: Diane S. Keeler, 57, of 850 Indianola Road, Boardman, was charged after her boyfriend alleged Keeler had scratched the left side of his neck and face during a fight.

Vandalism: Someone tossed a rock through a window at a home in the 6000 block of Applecrest Court.

Theft: A $300 amplifier was removed from a vehicle in the 200 block of Oakley Avenue.

Theft: A dealer tag was stolen off a car at a Market Street dealership.

Theft: A Lowellville man noticed his wallet missing while at a Simon Road business.
