Rebecca Black tops all videos in 2011

NEW YORK

Rebecca Black’s infamous “Friday” video has topped all other YouTube videos of 2011 with 180 million views.

The Google Inc. video-sharing site announced its most-viewed clips of the year Tuesday.

The 14-year-old Black was turned into a viral video celebrity after her parents paid a production company to make the music video for her. “Friday” became an unlikely, off-key global hit. Because of a legal dispute with Ark Music Factory, the video has had two YouTube incarnations, both of which were tabulated in the year-end count.

George Michael doing well, says doctor

VIENNA

A doctor treating George Michael says the British pop star is “doing well” as he recovers from pneumonia, but cannot say if he will be able to spend Christmas at home.

Christoph Zielinski said “we know that he is doing well and we are generally optimistic” about his recovery.

Zielinski told state broadcaster ORF Tuesday that whether Michael can go home for Christmas “is something that we are not in the position to decide.”

The ex-front man for the pop group “Wham” was admitted to Vienna’s AKH hospital late last month after canceling a performance in the Austrian capital.

Chaz Bono, partner end relationship

LOS ANGELES

A publicist for Chaz Bono says the relationship between the author/activist and his longtime partner has ended.

Howard Bragman says that Bono and Jennifer Elia “leave this relationship with great love, respect and affection toward each other.” He adds that the two are seeking privacy in the matter.

Bono, who recently appeared on “Dancing with the Stars,” and Elia have been dating for years. They dated as Bono, who was born Chastity Bono to musicians Cher and Sonny Bono, changed his gender through surgery and the court system.

Bono has written two books and discussed his transition in a documentary project that aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

MTV ‘Teen Mom’ star jailed for violation

ANDERSON, Ind.

A star of the MTV reality show “Teen Mom” has been ordered to jail in central Indiana for violating her probation on felony domestic battery charges.

Court records show that probation revocation was sought for Amber Portwood after she was accused of battery and public intoxication in connection with a fight in November. She is also accused of not obtaining her GED or completing anger-management classes as required.

Madison Circuit Court Judge David Happe tells The Herald Bulletin that Portwood was arrested Monday. The judge ordered her jailed until a Jan. 13 hearing.

Police investigated the then-20-year-old Portwood after a 2010 episode showed her hitting the then-24-year-old father of her daughter while their child was present.
