Laura Marie Bryer and Matthew Thornton Beese, both of Akron, were united in marriage June 24 at St. Vincent Church.
The Rev. Joseph H. Kraker officiated over the exchange of vows for the daughter of Edward A. and Marie Bryer of Lowellville and the son of John F. and Lee Beese of Akron. The couple received congratulations at a reception in their honor at Merestead Farms.
The bride wore an A-line taffeta gown embellished with rhinestones and crystal beading and featuring a chapel-length train.
Attired in a gray-colored dress, Jessica Tressa attended her sister as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids, also wearing gray, were Becky Bisesi, Melissa Miner, Katie Travaline and Michelle Durkin. Lucy Beese, the groom’s niece, was the flower girl.
Andrew Beese served as his brother’s best man, and groomsmen were John I Beese and John F. Beese III, also the groom’s brothers; Joseph Haller; and Thomas Haller. Jonathan Beese and Jacob Beese, the groom’s nephews, ushered guests.
Mrs. Beese earned a degree in civil engineering from Youngstown State University and is a transportation engineer for the Ohio Department of Transportation in Akron.
Mr. Beese is a graduate of the University of Akron with a degree in business. He is self-employed in sales and farming.
After a wedding trip to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, the couple are making their home in Akron.
