Undefeated Rockets roll past Wellsville

Taylor Hvisdak scored 16 points with six rebounds, five steals and three assists and Emily Carlson had 15 points, seven rebounds, eight assists and eight steals for the Lowellville High girls basketball team, which defeated Wellsville 95-53 in an Inter Tri-County League Tier Two game on Monday.

Rachel Durbin added 15 points, nine rebounds and five steals, Katie Seidita had 15 points and Kaye Solak scored 13 for the Rockets (5-0, 4-0. For Wellsville, Brittany Clendenning scored 13 and Mikyla Tipton had 12.

Western Reserve 64, Sebring 38

BERLIN CENTER

Colleen Kennehan scored 18 points and dished out nine assists for Reserve (5-1, 4-0 Tier Two). Rachel Maslach had 12 points and six rebounds, Sissy Stubbs scored 12 and April Lude had 10 points and six rebounds.

For Sebring, Kelsi Settle scored 15.

McDonald 42, Leetonia 25

McDONALD

Taylor Stanley scored 13 points and dished out five assists for McDonald (4-4, 2-2 Tier Two), which ran out to a 13-2 lead. Dani Novak added 10 points, Alyssa Streb grabbed nine rebounds and Paige Eckman had seven points and four steals. For Leetonia, Haley Scoville scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds.

Jackson-Milton 39, Southern 30

NORTH JACKSON

Erica Hughes and Katie Santor evenly split 20 points to pace Jackson-Milton (5-2, 3-1 Tier Two). Rachel Coil scored nine points for the Indians.

Crestview 38, Springfield 28

COLUMBIANA

Ashley Harrison scored 12 points for the Rebels (6-2, 3-1 Tier One) who led 27-15 entering the fourth.

Brooke Schrieber used two 3-pointers to score 11 for the Tigers (1-6, 1-3).

United 56, South Range 36

HANOVERTON

Ruth Prosko scored 21 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out four assists for United (7-1, 4-0 Tier One), which led 11-4 after one quarter.

Taylor Smith added 15 points and Emily Zehentbauer 13 in the victory.

For South Range, Lexi Naples had 15.

Lisbon 44, East Palestine 41

LISBON

Pam Pierce had 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds, while Lindsey Hayko and Adri Sanchez each netted seven points for Lisbon, who trailed by six after three quarters.

The Blue Devils outscored East Palestine 14-5 in the fourth. Shannon Jurjavcic led the Bulldogs with 13 points and Brooke Gedeon had 10.
