Kidd installed as Master of Western Star


BOARDMAN

Thomas A. Kidd of Boardman was installed as worshipful master of Western Star Lodge 21, Free and Accepted Masons, in an open ceremony Dec. 2 at the Western Star Masonic Temple in Boardman.

Installing officers were James A. Streeky and Salvadore A. Canale, assisted by other past masters, including David L. Collins, grand chaplain of the Grand Lodge of Ohio.

The event marked the 199th annual installation of officers for the group but only the 12th at the Boardman location.

Also installed were: William T. Adams, senior warden; Earl H. Stahl, junior warden; R. Sean Craig, treasurer; Tad C. Fithian, secretary; Patrick R. Pochiro, chaplain and one-year term trustee; Shaun M. Laughlin, senior deacon; Eric P. Ericson, junior deacon; James A. Patrick Jr., senior steward; Ray H. Huish, tyler; Robert K. Ellway, lodge education officer; and Michael J. Hughes, three-year term trustee. The installation was followed by a reception in fellowship hall.

Lodge 21 will begin a yearlong celebration of their 200th year with a visit by Kevin B. Todd, grand master of Masons in Ohio, at an open house April 12, 2012, at their Boardman facility, 8387 Tod Ave., followed by a reception at Mr. Anthony’s.
