Rachel Miller and Joseph Parent, both of Youngstown, were united in marriage Oct. 1 at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Peter Haenftling performed the 1:30 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Mark and Fran Miller of Youngstown, and the son of Anthony Parent Jr. of Lake Milton and JoAnn Parent of Youngstown. A reception took place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Social Hall.

The bride wore an ivory strapless A-line gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and an embroidered and beaded lace overlay.

Dressed in a shade of pool blue were honor attendants Davene Parks and Dawn Reents. Bridesmaids were Monica Miller, Heather Miller and Janine Miller, sisters of the bride; Gabrielle Parent and Roxanne Parent, sisters of the groom; and Colleen Huhn and Dawn Young.

Performing the duties of best man was Tim Gordon. Groomsmen were Bill McQuiston, Sean McQuiston, Taylor Millich, Dan Phelan, Sean Phelan, Matt Hodge, Greg Messina and Chris Reents. Serving as ushers were Ben Mitchell, the groom’s brother, and Lee Miller, the bride’s uncle.

The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is an accountant for the Cafaro Company in Youngstown.

The groom attended YSU and is a manager for the B.J. Alan Company in Youngstown.

After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple reside in Youngstown.
