Auction set in January for A&W Restaurant in Boardman

BOARDMAN — People who want a piece of Mahoning Valley history can bid on items from the Boardman A&W, 680 Boardman-Canfield Road, during a liquidation auction Jan. 11.

Basinger Auctions will liquidate everything in the restaurant, including signs, memorabilia, restaurant equipment and other architectural items.

Those interested can participate in-person beginning at 10 a.m. Jan. 11 or online.

A complete list of items with photos will be available about a week before the auction at www.basingerauctions.com.

The A&W lot was acquired by Cedarwood Development, which also owns the lot formerly occupied by Circuit City at Market Street and U.S. Route 224. The current building, originally constructed in November 1972, will be demolished and replaced with an Advanced Auto Parts store.
