Eagle Award conferred

Keith J. Stirling, son of Brian and Laura Stirling of Cortland, received the Eagle Scout Award at a court-of-honor ceremony at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Warren.

Stirling is a member of Greater Western Reserve Council Boy Scout Troop 101 with Jim Potjunas as his scoutmaster. He joined Troop 101 in 2004 after earning his Arrow of Light with Cub Pack 101.

With Troop 101, he has had leadership positions of assistant patrol leader, patrol leader, librarian, scribe and quartermaster. He earned 30 merit badges.

For his Eagle Scout service project, he constructed a boccie court on the grounds of Blessed Sacrament.

Stirling is a student at Kent State University in Kent, where he is pursuing studies in architecture.
