‘Good’ outing: South Range handles Lisbon

LISBON

Dan Good led all scorers with 17 points and Jordan Baker added 15 for South Range High boys basketball team, which defeated Lisbon 80-47 on Saturday.

Andy Lacefield finished with 11 points and Brandon Pluchinsky contributed nine for the Raiders (4-1). For Lisbon (3-2), Ben Spencer and Zach Rovnak each had 12 points.

Jake Borg grabbed seven rebounds and Drew Sweeney made three steals.

Ursuline 69, farrell 40

YOUNGSTOWN

Desmond McElroy and Ryan Strollo each drained three 3-pointers for Ursuline (3-1). The tandem scored 22 and 13, respectively. Korrie Maynard and Jalen Lowe both dropped eight points and Lowe led the Irish with eight rebounds.

William Murray and Josh Jennings paced Farrell (1-2) with 13 points each.

GIRLS Poland 34, Springfield 25

POLAND

Maura Bobby scored 15 points and the Bulldogs outscored the Tigers 9-2 in the fourth quarter to pull away. Liz Suess added eight points for Poland, which led 13-4 after one quarter before Springfield battled back. Andrea Zubick scored eight points for the Tigers (1-5).

Can. GlenOak 50, Boardman 48

BOARDMAN

Megan Volosin scored 14 points and Kelly Tomcsayni added 11 but the Spartans (1-5, 0-5) were outscored 21-11 in the fourth quarter of a Federal League game. Angela Darnley and Rachel McNew each scored six of their team-best eight points in the fourth quarter for GlenOak (6-4, 2-3).

W. harding 68, lakeview 55

Briana McCurdy and Anita Brown each scored 17 points for Harding.

Lakeview’s Jamie Senter led all scorers with 19 points. The Raiders scored just three points in the second quarter but scored 45 after half time.

West Branch 52, Salem 22

BELOIT

Pavin Heath scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead West Branch, which outscored the Quakers 37-10 over the second and third quarters. Kelsey Loiselle added nine points for the Warriors (4-1, 4-1 Northeastern Buckeye Conference).

For Salem (2-5, 2-2), Cassie Davidson and Katherine Stiff each scored five points.
