Family dinner marks 50th for Habegers

SALEM

Springfield Grille in Boardman was the setting for a family dinner Dec. 17 honoring Joyce and David E. Habeger of Salem for their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Habeger, who is the former Joyce Keslar, and Mr. Habeger were married on that date in 1961 at Mahoning United Methodist Church in Youngstown, where they are members.

The event was hosted by the couple’s children, Lynn (Warren) Ruscoe of Alexandria, Va.; Cheryl (Mark) Bush of Austintown; Brian (April) Habeger of Salem; and Elaine Habeger of Youngstown. The couple also have five grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Habeger are retired as owner/operators of the Canfield Road Dairy Queen in Youngstown. Mr. Habeger also retired in 1988 as the high school principal for Crestview Local Schools in Columbiana.

The couple are members of the Mahoning Valley Dahlia Society.
