Austin Cangelosi and Mike Ambrosia each scored a goal with two assists and the Youngstown Phantoms won their fourth straight game, defeating host Des Moines, 7-4, in a United States Hockey League game on Saturday night.

The Phantoms (16-6-1) got goals from seven different players.

Soren Jonzzon, Dylan Margonari, Jordan Young and Eric Sweetman all added a goal and an assist for Youngstown, which outscored the Buccaneers 3-1 in the third period to pull away.

Alex Gacek added the other goal, and Ryan Belonger had two assists for the Phantoms, who are in second place in the Eastern Conference standings behind Green Bay (19-4-1).

Youngstown defeated Green Bay on Friday on a bank-in game-winner by Belonger.

Youngstown took a 3-1 lead Saturday night on goals by Jonzzon, Margonari and Cangelosi but Des Moines tied it on goals by Kevin Irwin and Trent Samuels.

The Phantoms then scored three straight to take control. Sweetman scored the game’s final goal at the 15:34 mark of the third period.

Mac Olson and Anthony Greco also scored for Des Moines (10-11-1), which is in fifth place in the Western Conference standings.

The Phantoms now have a long break before playing at Cedar Rapids on Dec. 28.

Youngstown then plays two games against Indiana (Dec. 30-31) before heading home for a two-game set against Muskegon on Jan. 5-6.
