BOYS

Fitch 57, Hubbard 55 OT

HUBBARD

Will Mahone led the Falcons with 22 points and Dan Chepke added 13. Jessie Driver had 10. Hubbard’s Kirby Knutson led all scorers with 26 points while Jordan Thomson and Nick Sheldon each added 10. After trailing by 18 at half time, the Eagles limited the Falcons to just 12 points in the second half and scored 31 to force the overtime period.

Poland 66, Niles 42

POLAND

Colin Reardon had a breakout game going for 33 points, while grabbing 12 rebounds and creating five steals and four assists for Poland. Conner Schultheis hit a pair of 3-pointers and finished with six points and Jacob Wolfe also hit two 3-pointers and was second on the team with eight points. The Bulldogs hit 12 3-pointers. Ray Russ led Niles with 19 points.

Struthers 52, Canfield 43

STRUTHERS

Jake Jacubec scored 22 points to lead the slow-starting Wildcats. Canfield jumped out to a 9-1 lead after one quarter but Struthers scored 18 points in the second period to take a 19-18 lead into the locker room. Struthers hit 15 of 24 free throw tries. Will Yobi had 10 points for the Cardinals.

Lakeview 69, Campbell 42

CORTLAND

Kyle Ames hit five 3-pointer to reach 15 points, while Louie Novakovich added another 15 for Lakeview (2-2). Zach McDivitt contributed with 10 points and Erich Schmitt and Drew Bell each had six. Anthony Maze nailed all six of Campbell’s 3-pointers and totaled 27 points as Charles Smith netted seven.

Liberty 86, Champion 60

CHAMPION

Asiim Pleas and Jaylen mann each scored 17 points for the Leopards. Mann grabbed 10 rebounds and Pleas created five assists. David Hight added 14 points, while Anthony Clinkscales had 12. Tyler Bishop, Clay Hall and Brad Tarleton each had nine points for Champion.

GIRLS

Howland 77, Beaver Local 25

HOWLAND

Olivia Nicholas scored 25 points and made 14 rebounds and four steals for the Tigers (5-0, 1-0). Erika Nites scored 24 points as the Tigers played without Taylor Williams who is nursing a sore wrist. For the Beavers (2-4, 0-1), Allia Bangor scored eight points and made seven rebounds.
