A summary of recent criminal activity in Liberty, Girard and Hubbard:

LIBERTY

Dec. 9

Arrest: Police at the Mahoning County jail took custody of 28-year-old Cherron S. Triplett, 663 Early Road, Youngstown, who was wanted on two outstanding township warrants.

Dec. 10

Stolen property: Authorities responded to Cleveland Auto Wrecking Inc., 2700 Youngstown-Hubbard Road, regarding possibly stolen scrap manhole covers, then charged Vincent R. Hill and Luis A. Santiago Jr., both 20 and of Bright Street, Campbell, with receiving stolen property. Hill and Santiago admitted having stolen in Campbell 13 covers valued at a total of $2,600, police said.

Aggravated menacing: A Hubbard woman told police a Townsend Avenue woman threw several rocks at her vehicle and threatened to kill the accuser.

Arrest: Authorities picked up 25-year-old Tara N. Elkins, 1756 Elm Road NE, Warren, who was wanted on a charge of failing to appear in court.

Theft: Laura M. Bell, 35, of 4201 Logan Gate Road, Liberty; Khalian J. Green, same age and address; and Eric D. McDowell, 44, of 5025 Forest Park Place, Boardman, were charged with stealing a digital camera, video games and other items from Dollar General in the Liberty Plaza. Bell also was charged with possession of criminal tools.

Dec. 11

Theft/criminal damaging: A car’s tire was punctured in the 10 block of Tuttle Lane, and its title and registration were missing.

Assault: A Holly Drive woman reported a man pushed her out of an apartment and knocked her to the ground during a dispute.

Dec. 12

Assault: Someone got out of a sport-utility vehicle near Leopard Way and knocked a 17-year-old boy to the ground during a fight in which the teen suffered a scraped knee and scratches.

Arrest: Weathersfield Township police handed 41-year-old Marcy J. Fisher to Liberty authorities. Fisher, of 38 Bright St., Campbell, was accused of failing to appear in court.

Theft: A Shannon Road man reported a $2,900 motorized cart stolen from a shed.

Stolen property: Police at Cleveland Auto Wrecking charged 22-year-old Joshua A. Minor, 12 Arrow St., and 28-year-old Robert M. Magalotti, 8 Broadway, with receiving stolen property. The two Youngstown men had an air-conditioning unit and tools thought to have been taken during a break-in at a rental unit in the city, a report said.

Theft/forgery: A Warner Road man discovered someone stole and forged his $108 check before cashing it.

GIRARD

Dec. 11

Criminal mischief: A Park Avenue woman alleged her boyfriend punched a hole in her bedroom wall during an argument, then slammed a door and made another hole.

Criminal mischief: A Chippewa Court man discovered a broken window at his residence and that mustard had been squirted on his vehicle.

Dec. 12

Breaking and entering: Someone broke into and stole about 1,300 video games valued at $60 each, as well as a disc-cleaning machine, from Family Video, 801 N. State St. The loss came to $80,550.

Theft: An East Wilson Avenue man reported the theft of a $100 AM/FM/compact-disc player from his car.

Theft: A $300 AM/FM/CD player was removed from a vehicle in the 100 block of East Second Street.

Theft: A pair of pants and a car stereo were taken from a truck in the 200 block of East Broadway Avenue.

Arrests: Police responded to an employee of a used-car business having difficulty with a customer before charging Danielle Porter, 24, of 429 Washington Ave. NW, Warren, with complicity to theft, criminal trespassing and possession of criminal tools, as well as Lakeif T. Johnson, 29, of 2969 Niles Road Warren, with theft, possession of criminal tools, criminal damaging, criminal trespassing, driving under suspension and having no operator’s license after a car battery had been stolen. Johnson’s bond was $7,500.

Criminal mischief: Someone deliberately cut a phone line to a lottery-ticket machine at Espresso Market, 143 E. Liberty St.

Recovered property: An Iowa Avenue man found and turned over to police a bullet he believed came from a .50-caliber firearm.

HUBBARD

Dec. 9

Criminal damaging: Someone in the 1300 block of West Liberty Street struck and damaged a vehicle’s mirror.

Theft: An official with Hubbard High School, 350 Hall Ave., reported a student stole a set of keys.

Assault: Hubbard High School’s principal reported a fight between two students.

Dec. 10

Theft: Items were removed from a building in the 800 block of North Main Street.

Dec. 11

Theft: A woman reported her son’s $1,400 bicycle stolen in the 200 block of East Park Avenue.
