Hubbard’s Pesce, KC’s Stephenson honored

The Gervelis Law Firm and WFMJ-TV have selected Hubbard’s Anthony Pesce and Kennedy Catholic’s Joel Stephenson for the first Gervelis Law Firm Gridiron Inspiration awards.

Each football player received a $1,000 scholarship. Stephenson plans to attend Penn State University while Pesce is undecided.

Nominees were first suggested by their coaches based on hard work on and off the field, with academic and personal drive. The nominees were voted on through WFMJ’s web site. Nearly 2,000 votes were cast.
