More than 140 high students from all across Ohio submitted applications and recorded auditions. Of those applicants, 70 were selected to perform with this very prestigious ensemble.

Canfield was represented with the selection of junior Michael Barkett on trumpet, sophomore Emily Damelio on oboe and senior Alicia Smith on oboe.

Barkett and Smith furthered Canfield’s distinction by being selected as Principal or First Chair players of their sections.

The honors band was directed by guest conductor Timothy Rhea, Director of Bands, at Texas A&M University.
