YOUNGSTOWN

Taylor Williams had 14 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks for Howland, which had a 13-point second quarter to help carry the Tigers. For Mooney (2-2), Christine Pelini and Macy Marlowe had nine points apiece, while senior guard Taylor Woytek had 10 rebounds.

Anita Brown had 21 points, nine rebounds and four steals and Briana McCurdy added 16 points, five assists and six rebounds for the Raiders (1-3), who outscored the Panthers 21-2 in the second quarter to take a 42-18 halftime lead. Audreyonna Baldridge added 14 points and eight rebounds. For East (1-4), Alize Robinson scored 15 points and had four steals and Chimicka Kennedy had 10 points, six rebounds and four assists. The Panthers made just 2 of 18 free throws.

Marlington 58, West Branch 42

Katie Reed made 15 of 20 from the free throw line and finished with 30 points for Marlington (4-1, 3-0 Northeastern Buckeye Conference), which took a 30-19 halftime lead. Brittany Bryte scored 14 points for West Branch (3-1, 3-1) and Kelsey Loiselle had seven rebounds.

Youngstown Christian 60, Heartland Christian 42

Louie Lee scored 18 points and Daylen Williams and Ben Crouch each scored 10 for YCS (3-1), which outscored Heartland 36-20 over the second and third quarters. Kyle Burgess scored 11 for Heartland.

TEACH 76, CHEC 38

HOWLAND

David Walker scored 28 points, Josh Shaffer had 22 and Joshua Walker scored 13 and grabbed 10 rebounds for TEACH (2-1), which led 23-5 after one quarter.
