Police surround Dewey Avenye house in search of Dennis Ray

YOUNGSTOWN — For a second day, Youngstown Police have surrounded a house in search of a 50-year-old city man.

Dennis Ray was seen at a house in the 600 block of east Dewey Avenue late this afternoon. Police have cordoned off an area around the house in an attempt to capture Ray.

For two days, police searched the wooded areas and side streets of the East Side for the man who police said disrupted the quiet of a Browning Avenue neighborhood with indiscriminate gunfire early Wednesday.

Police said Ray should be considered armed and dangerous and that he has an extensive criminal history and mental-health issues.
