A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland and Boardman townships:

POLAND

Dec.6

Assault: Police responded to a fight between two male students at Poland Seminary High School, 3199 Dobbins Road.

Dec. 7

Identity theft: A township woman discovered someone in France had made $1,884 worth of unauthorized online purchases with her credit card.

Dec. 8

Harassment: A Dobbins Road woman reported having been harassed.

BOARDMAN

Dec. 9

Theft: An MP3 player and an FM modulator were missing from a vehicle in the 1800 block of Boardman-Poland Road.

Arrest: Vincent R. Thomas Jr., 24, of 2733 Cain St., Youngstown, faced a felony count of violating a protection order after a relative reported Thomas was at her Paulin Drive home in violation of the order.

Robbery: Authorities charged Kaitlyn R. Marosell, 18, of 25419 Quaker Church Road, East Rochester, and Dillon S. Busch, 20, same address, with robbery and theft, respectively, after $62 worth of merchandise was stolen from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive. Marosell kicked a store official who tried to detain her and fled on foot but surrendered a short time later, a report showed.

Domestic violence: Police arrested 48-year-old Jeffrey A. Hartman at his home, 4010 Sunset Blvd., Boardman, after his brother alleged Hartman had shoved him into a vehicle during an argument about property issues and re-injured the accuser who had undergone a recent surgery. Hartman faced a felony charge because of a previous domestic-violence conviction, a report said.

Theft: A wallet was stolen from a vehicle, likely at the Southern Park Mall.

Harassment: Two people at a Market Street business reported feeling threatened by the son of a patient who was upset about a bill and who made calls with a threatening tone of voice.

Theft: A $669 welding machine was stolen from Home Depot, 7001 Southern Blvd.

Attempted auto theft: A Glenwood Avenue woman told police someone tried to steal her 1996 Mercury Villager vehicle.

Theft: A man in his 30s stole a bottle of body wash from Dollar General, 859 E. Midlothian Blvd., then fled.

Theft/criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 800 block of Boardman-Poland Road was found with a broken window. Stolen was an $80 global-positioning-system unit.

Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen at a Boardman-Canfield Road store.

Arrest: A traffic stop near Caribou Drive led to a charge of underage possession of alcohol against a 17-year-old township boy, who was released to the custody of his father.

Aggravated menacing: A woman told authorities a man called threatening to burn down her Aravesta Avenue apartment and kill her.

Dec. 10

Theft: Money was taken from two cars in the 50 and 60 blocks of Sciota Avenue.

Theft: Two Lowellville boys, 15 and 17, were charged with stealing two otter boxes from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive, then released to the custody of their mothers.

Attempted theft: Someone rummaged through a vehicle in the 90 block of Wilda Avenue.

Theft: A debit card, money, a gift certificate and a utility knife were stolen from a truck in the 70 block of Erskine Avenue.

Theft: Two GPS units, two compact discs and a bag were removed from a truck in the 60 block of Romaine Avenue.

Arrest: Police on East Midlothian Boulevard pulled over and arrested 35-year-old Louis A. Mullins, 3640 Burkey Road, Austintown, who was wanted on bench warrants from Youngstown Municipal Court accusing him of failing to appear in court on charges of reckless operation of a motor vehicle and possession of cocaine. Officers also cited 53-year-old Aaron Webb, 910 Canfield Road, Youngstown, on a charge of marijuana possession.

Theft: An MP3 player was taken from a car in the 50 block of Woodrow Avenue.

Theft: A digital camera, 40 CDs and other items were missing from a vehicle in the 8100 block of Tod Avenue.

Theft: Someone stole about $1,000 worth of tools from a car in the 50 block of Woodrow Avenue.

Theft: Electronic book-reading and GPS devices were removed from a minivan in the 20 block of Erskine Avenue.

Burglary/disrupting public services: A woman told police a man broke into her Applecrest Court apartment through a window and destroyed her cellphone as she tried to call police.

Theft: A $150 GPS unit, change and a prescription were stolen from a car in the 40 block of Leighton Avenue.

Breaking and entering: Someone broke into a vacant home in the 800 block of Mapleridge Drive and removed 120 feet of copper piping valued at $1,600.

Criminal mischief: Someone ransacked a vehicle in the 70 block of Romaine Avenue.

Burglary: Occurred in the 200 block of Charles Avenue via a rear window. Stolen were a $600 flat-screen TV and $65.

Dec. 11

Aggravated menacing: A Trenholm Drive woman told police a man at her residence threatened to kill her and burn down the accuser’s residence.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered a garage in the 80 block of Leighton Avenue before taking three CDs and loose change from a car.

Theft/criminal damaging: Two vehicles at a Boardman-Poland Road restaurant were broken into and numerous items stolen, including an MP3 player, a video recorder and a GPS unit.

Assault/burglary: Authorities charged 33-year-old Marius A. Fanea, 6919 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, with assault and aggravated burglary after answering a break-in call in the 7100 block of Trenholm Drive. A former acquaintance alleged Fanea had entered through a window, shoved her onto a bed and tried to choke the accuser before she escaped.

Truck theft: A 2008 GMC Sierra truck was stolen in the 40 block of Woodview Avenue.

Possible attempted theft: A Maple Avenue woman said she saw a suspicious person near her vehicle who fled on foot.

Dec. 12

Theft: A $190 GPS device was removed from a truck in the 7000 block of Southern Boulevard.

Criminal damaging: A Terrace Drive woman told officers her former boyfriend became angry and kicked her car’s driver’s-side window five or six times, breaking a plastic window guard.

Domestic violence: Police responded to a situation at a Lake Shore Drive residence before charging a 17-year-old township boy with one misdemeanor count each of domestic violence and carrying a concealed weapon. The teen’s father alleged he pushed the accuser in the chest, knocking him to the ground. Also, a knife was in the boy’s pocket, police said.
