Christmas comes early at Fairhaven School

UAW Local 1112 President Jim Graham, along with representatives Russ Pinkert and Sherry Strohmeyer, recently presented a check for $4,000 to Fairhaven School to be used toward the second building phase of the playground being constructed for the use of school-aged students.

Various community fund-raisers earlier in the year allowed phase one to become a reality. Phase two is expected to cost an additional $25,000 and will include a basketball court, tire swing and a cover for the pavilion.

The school hopes to have this phase completed by the fall of 2012.
