North Side plans light show

The third annual Festival of Lights and Holiday Decorations Tour on the city’s North Side is Friday.

Western Reserve Transit Authority buses will leave at 5:30 and 7 p.m. from the parking lot of Heart Reach Ministries, 211 Redondo Road, for the free, 90-minute tours of houses decorated on the North Side and a trip downtown to see the city’s Christmas tree.

Those who want to have their homes viewed on the tour must register their address by Wednesday with Jamael Tito Brown, Youngstown council president, at 330-747-3592 or by email at ward3councilman@live.com.

Also, those who want to take the bus tour should contact Brown at the same phone number and email address.

The event is sponsored by Brown, Councilman Nate Pinkard, D-3rd, and various block-watch groups, among others.
