All but one of Youngstown’s fire trucks, along with 30 city firefighters, were battling a blaze Tuesday night at Omega Door Co., 1223 Gibson St.

Reserve firefighters were called in to handle any additional fire calls from Youngstown.

The fire broke out after 6:30 p.m. and no one was inside the structure, firefighters said.

A large overhead crane poured water onto the roof as flames shot through. Smoke was heavy and prompted additional calls to the fire department as city residents near downtown wondered about its source.

Omega Door Co., 1223 Gibson St., offers a range of doors for commercial and residential purposes, according to its online profile. It offers a selection of steel, wood and composite doors. The company also provides designer and rolling doors.
