Two killed in collision in Salem

SALEM

A traffic accident killed two people Sunday after a tractor- trailer slammed into a car that had failed to properly yield, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The collision on state Route 45 at state Route 165 sent both the truck and the car into a ditch, the OSHP reported. The truck driver sustained minor injuries from the accident. As of Sunday, the names of those killed were not released while the highway patrol attempted to notify the next of kin.
