PUNTA CANA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Michelle Marie Nespeca and Nelson Daniel Villa exchanged wedding vows July 30 at the Hotel Riu Palace Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The Rev. Jean Lacallie officiated at the 4 p.m. wedding Mass, which was followed by a reception at the Don Manuel Steakhouse and Social Hall. The couple also received congratulations at a reception Aug. 19 at Our lady of Mount Carmel Social Hall in Youngstown.
The bride is the daughter of Neil and Janet Guerrieri of Boardman, and David and Susan Nespeca of Poland. Parents of the groom are Luis and Reina Villa of New York.
The bride wore a V-neck satin gown styled with pearl-encrusted spaghetti straps and chapel-length train. It featured a beaded lace overlay and was embellished with seed pearls, Swarovski crystals and sequins.
Kristen Nespeca, wearing a melon-colored satin dress, was the maid of honor for her sister. Flower girls, dressed in pink, were Madison Hernandez and Katherine Villa, nieces of the groom, and Isabella Berni.
Performing the duties of best man was Edwin Diaz, the groom’s cousin. Also attending the groom were his nephews Jose Villa, Justin Villa and Matthew Hernandez. Another of the groom’s nephews, Mario Hernandez, was the ring bearer.
The bride graduated from St. John’s University-Queens with a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in school counseling. She is a director of college counseling at Scholars’ Academy High School in New York.
The groom attended Hofstra University and is an assistant branch manager at Chase Bank in New York.
After a wedding trip to Punta Cana the couple live in New York.
