JaMychal Green scored 21 points and Alabama rebounded from a two-game losing streak. Tony Mitchell added 15 points and freshman Nick Jacobs chipped in 13 in his first start for the Crimson Tide (8-2), who returned to a more characteristic defensive form after losses to Georgetown and at Dayton. Detroit (5-7) trailed by 22 points late in the first half and failed to approach its 75.9-point scoring average. The Titans shot 32 percent (17 of 53) and missed all 12 3-point attempts.
Murray St. 76, No. 21 Memphis 72
MEMPHIS, Tenn.
Donte Poole hit a career-best six 3-pointers and scored 20 points to help Murray State remain one of only nine teams in Division I that are still unbeaten. The Racers (10-0) took control early then had to weather a late Memphis rally to hold on for the victory. Murray State was up 71-60 with just under 2 minutes left before Memphis (5-3) scored eight straight points to make it a one-possession game.
No. 24 Illinois 80, Coppin St. 63
CHAMPAIGN, Ill.
D.J. Richardson scored 20 points to lead four players in double figures as Illinois remained one of nine undefeated teams in the nation. Meyers Leonard had 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Sam Maniscalco and Brandon Paul each scored 12 points for the Illini. Tony Gallo scored 21 points for Coppin State (3-5), which made 10 3-pointers.
WOMEN
No. 1 Baylor 73, St. John’s 59
NEW YORK
Brittney Griner had 17 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks to help Baylor in the Maggie Dixon Classic at Madison Square Garden. Brooklyn Pope scored 19 points to lead the Lady Bears (10-0), who have a showdown with No. 2 Connecticut on Dec. 18.
No. 5 Maryland 78, George Mason 50
FAIRFAX, Va.
Alyssa Thomas had 18 points to lead four players in double figures for Maryland.
Laurin Mincy scored 15 points, Lynetta Kizer added 14 and Anjale Barrett 13 for the Terrapins (11-0).

Elizabeth Williams scored 22 points on 10-of-10 shooting to lead four players in double figures for Duke. Haley Peters added 17 points for Duke (7-2), which was coming off a 72-65 loss to No. 10 Kentucky. Chloe Wells had 11 points and reserve Kathleen Scheer added 10.

Glory Johnson scored 16 points and Cierra Burdick added 15 to lead Tennessee in the Maggie Dixon Classic. Shekinna Stricklen added 12 points, and Alicia Manning had 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Lady Vols (5-2), who saw their 12-point halftime lead cut to 41-37 before using a 15-4 run to take control. Stricklen had six points during the burst.

Adaora Elonu had 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Tyra White also scored 15 points to lead Texas A&M. Kelsey Bone chipped in 10 points for the Aggies (7-2) as the defending national champions snapped a two-game skid in the finale of a five-game road trip.

Maggie Lucas scored 20 points and Nikki Greene added 14 for Penn State. Alex Bentley had 11 points and nine assists as the Lady Lions (8-2) shot 47 percent (27 of 58) from the field. Penn State has averaged 80 points over its last six contests, going 5-1 during that stretch.

Chay Shegog tied a career high with 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead North Carolina.

WASHINGTON
Sugar Rodgers had 18 points and six steals to lead Georgetown to its eighth straight victory. Tia Magee’s three-point play with 48.7 seconds left gave the Hoyas a 58-49 lead and finally some breathing room against a pesky George Washington team.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.
Elena Delle Donne, the nation’s leading scorer, had 30 points and 13 rebounds to lead Delaware. Delle Donne, who averages 29 points, helped the Blue Hens (8-0) claim their first win over an Atlantic Coast Conference team and extend the best start in school history.
No. 24 Oklahoma 72, Wis.-Milwaukee 50
NORMAN, Okla.
Whitney Hand scored 17 points and matched her season high with 10 rebounds to help Oklahoma snap a three-game losing streak. The Sooners (4-3) ended their first three-game skid since March 2008 and avoided losing four straight for the first time since January 2004.
