A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland and Boardman townships:

POLAND

Nov. 26

Domestic violence: A 16-year-old Poland boy was charged with the crime after a situation with his sister, who was not seriously injured.

Nov. 30

Harassment: A Tala Drive woman filed a report.

Dec. 1

Theft: An undisclosed sum of money was stolen from LMPF Ltd., 3296 Stones Throw Drive.

Identity theft: A Shawbutte Drive man reported having lost $610 from his account.

Dec. 2

Possible assault: Police responded to a report about juveniles fighting in the 3300 block of Stones Throw Drive.

Dec. 2

Assault: A resident of a West Boulevard long-term care facility reported his brother-in-law grabbed his face and pushed him against a wall during an argument about another family member’s owing the accuser money.

Deception: A pharmacist with Walgreens Pharmacy, 525 E. Midlothian Blvd., told police a customer in the drive-through presented a forged prescription.

Theft: A $4,500 gold diamond bracelet was stolen from Jewels & More in the Southern Park Mall.

Menacing: A worker with a Boardman-Poland Road gas station reported a former employee and two other people threatened her.

Theft: A woman stole a pair of jeans and six shirts from Dillard’s in the Southern Park Mall.

Criminal damaging: Three Christmas lights were broken at a residence in the 4100 block of Riverside Drive.

Criminal damaging: A car in the 1800 block of Oles Avenue was found with a broken passenger-side window.

Harassment: A Gertrude Avenue man reported receiving the latest in a series of hang-up calls that apparently began in October.

Theft: Two garbage cans were taken from a condominium development in the 800 block of Pearson Circle.

Drugs: A traffic stop near Lake Park Road led to a citation against 21-year-old Angel D. Cubero-Cruz, 1548 Oak St., Youngstown, on a charge of marijuana possession.

Theft: An employee reportedly stole an undisclosed sum of money from IHOP, 833 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: A Boardman woman recovered her stolen purse, though $150 was missing.

Vandalism: Someone smeared feces near an entrance to a Glendale Avenue apartment building.

Dec. 3

Criminal damaging: Someone used a key to damage a vehicle’s finish in the 7100 block of Tiffany Boulevard.

Theft: A woman reported a stocking hat stolen from her apartment in the 7500 block of Market Street.

Theft: A Crescent, Pa., woman discovered a safety-deposit box containing numerous pieces of jewelry had been stolen from a South Avenue bank.

Theft: A catalytic converter was removed from a vehicle at 4 Wheels Auto, 5925 South Ave.

Theft: Gail E. Woods, 45, of 158 Piccadilly St., Campbell, was charged with switching price tags on three articles of clothing at Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Arrest: Police picked up 26-year-old Michael J. Rosa at his home, 646 Saddlebrook Drive, Boardman, on warrants charging him with two counts of misuse of a credit card and one each of forgery and theft. Rosa also faced a separate charge of violating a protection order.

Theft: Two 17-year-old Girard girls were charged in the theft of two items from Walmart, then released to an adult custodian.

Aggravated menacing: A Youngstown woman at the Southern Park Mall reported getting three calls with threats to shoot a family member of the accuser.

Theft: Two gallons of windshield-wiper fluid were stolen from the BP gas station at 310 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Harassment: A manager of a South Avenue discount store reported having received nine such calls, including some in which the caller inquired about acquiring materials for a bank robbery.

Harassment: A man said he got eight unwanted calls to his Lost Tree Drive home.

Theft: A man in his 20s stole $375 worth of clothing from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall and fled.

Dec. 4

Criminal mischief: A vehicle was driven over part of a yard in the 800 block of Brookfield Avenue.

Harassment: A Hillman Way woman reported receiving four threatening calls.

Vandalism: Nearly 100 dents, possibly done with a hammer, were discovered in a car in the 700 block of Nellbert Lane.

Arrest: Samuel N. Cruz, 34, of 879 Palmer Ave., Youngstown, faced charges of driving under the influence and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle after police pulled him over on Market Street.

Drugs: Officers stopped 23-year-old Patrick M. Altier on Jennette Drive, then charged him with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia. Altier, of 615 Cathy Ann Drive, Boardman, had a small quantity of suspected marijuana and a suspected marijuana pipe, police said.

Theft: Michael L. Marsh, 34, of 4499 Warren- Sharon Road, Vienna, was charged with theft. Marsh, who was at the Mahoning County jail, was accused of stealing a $200 candle display from Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: An Auburn Hills Drive woman reported a man borrowed but never returned her 2009 Kia Sportage vehicle.

Theft: A toolbox and an estimated $5,000 worth of tools were stolen from a truck in the 400 block of Annawan Lane.

Dec. 5

Endangerment: Authorities received information about a child in pajamas walking alone in the road near South Schenley Avenue and Baymar Drive. The father was contacted and the child was released to the custody of her mother, a report showed.

Arrest: Authorities charged 43-year-old Joseph N. Holdwick of Bad Axe, Mich., with public indecency after a female employee with a South Avenue motel alleged Holdwick had exposed himself to her in his room.

Theft: Robert R. McGuire, 27, of 3340 Edgar St., Youngstown, was charged in the theft of women’s clothing from Walmart.

Harassment: A Sierra Madre Trail man reported having received a call from someone pressuring him to donate to an organization.

Theft: Jimmy A. Miller, 35, of 4475 Berkshire Drive, Warren, was picked up at the Trumbull County jail on a theft warrant. He was accused of stealing 30 cans of baby formula and several packages of diapers from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.

Criminal damaging: Someone tossed eggs at a residence in the 8400 block of Crystal Drive.

Theft: A woman in the 800 block of Bev Road reported her wallet stolen from her vehicle.

Theft: Three yard decorations were taken from a home in the 5100 block of Lemoyne Avenue.

Theft: Several car parts were stolen in the 4900 block of Southern Boulevard.

Arrest: Daniel A. Peek, 36, of Campbell was taken into custody in the 7300 block of Tiffany Boulevard on a warrant from that city charging him with violating a court order.

Dec.6

Aggravated menacing: Angelo A. Dourlas, 49, of 2504 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on an aggravated-menacing warrant after a Montrose Circle woman alleged Dourlas had threatened several times to kill her.

Arrest: Police arrested 43-year-old Nathaniel W. Byrd, 550 W. Chalmers Ave., Youngstown, on a warrant accusing him of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after his girlfriend alleged Byrd had taken and failed to return her 2009 Kia Sportage car. Youngstown police also charged Byrd with receiving stolen property and driving under suspension.
