Mahoning Valley new-car sales increase 4 percent in November

YOUNGSTOWN — New-car sales in the Mahoning Valley increased 4 percent in November, according to statistics released today by the Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio.

Sales of new cars rose from 1,677 last November to 1,752.

Overall new-car sales through 11 months of 2011 are up nearly 27 percent compared to the same period in 2010.

The Lordstown-built Chevrolet Cruze was the best-selling new car for the second consecutive month. Dealers sold 116 Cruzes, 83 Chevrolet Silverados and 75 Chevrolet Malibus.
