Nov. 21

Attempted burglary: A window was pried open and broken at an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Theft: A flag pole and signs were stolen from R&J Tire, 3606 Canfield Road.

Breaking and entering: A truck and vacuum machine were taken from a fenced-in lot at Roth Bros., 3847 Crum Road. The truck was located later in Twinsburg.

Menacing: A victim reported being stalked at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: A woman had two of her checks cashed for $500 at a home in the 3000 block of Starwick Drive.

Theft: A Playstation3 and games were stolen at Get-Go, 5163 Mahoning Ave.

Breaking and entering: Bolt cutters were taken along with scrap metal at a home in the 4000 block of Washington Square.

Criminal damaging: Four tires were damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Washington Square.

Nov. 22

Telecommunications harassment: Telephone harassment was reported at a home in the 3000 block of Johnson Farm.

Theft: Vicodin was taken from an apartment in the 4000 block of Deer Creek.

Domestic violence: A 15-year-old female was taken to the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center for committing the crime at a home in the 4000 block of Sheffield Drive.

Passing bad checks: A suspect purchased a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer and gave Fred Martin Ford, 4701 Mahoning Ave., a check for $2,700. The suspect later returned the vehicle and purchased a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser, and then stopped payment on the check.

Nov. 23

Burglary: Damage to a door frame was reported but nothing was missing at a home in the 1000 block of N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Theft: Sections of pipe were taken from a vacant lot in the 800 block of Ohltown Road.

Theft: An iPhone was stolen at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Christopher Cronin,27, of 2325 Sussex St. SE, Warren, for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Menacing: A man is accused of menacing at a home in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.

Theft: A 1987 Chevrolet pickup truck and an Ohio dealer plate were stolen from D&L Auto Sales, 1213 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Recovered property: Maine license plates were recovered on Salt Springs Road at Meridian Road.

Theft: A total of $30.75 in fuel was stolen at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Nov. 24

Drug arrests: Police charged Eric Johnson, 26, of 69 Westminster Ave., No. 26, with tampering with evidence, drug abuse of cocaine and permitting drug abuse, and Sharon Kosko, 50, of 50 Westminster Ave., No. 18, with drug abuse of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia after their arrest in the township.

Nov. 25

Theft: A 17-year-old juvenile was released to his parents for theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Attempted theft: Two men broke into a vehicle at a home in the 60 block of Carnegie Avenue. One, a 17-year-old juvenile, was caught by the homeowner.

Criminal trespassing: Police charged Vivian Warren, 44, of 718 Olivette St., Youngstown, with the crime after her arrest at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

Theft: Two rings were stolen at an apartment in the 800 block of Compass West.

Warrant: Police arrested Seth Leach, 36, homeless, on a warrant for assault.

Warrant: Police arrested Gary Stake II, 34, of 17633 Lundy’s Lane, Lake Milton, on an assault charge.

Nov. 26

Drug offense: Police charged Connor Fry, 19, of 1452 S. Meridian Road, with possession of marijuana, and Zachary Bukovi, 20, of 2052 S. Raccoon Road, also with possession of marijuana after their arrest in the township.

Drug offense: Three people were arrested on drug charges. Marie Hogan, 21, of 381 Hunt Road, New Castle, Pa., was charged with possession of marijuana; Allycia Tilletski, 25, of 853 Frank Ave., New Castle, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia; and Mitchell Kiser, 21, of 1108 New Castle St., Butler, Pa., charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, after their arrest in the township.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was keyed at a home in the 3000 block of Burkey Road.

Nov. 27

Theft: An Ohio driver’s license and front and rear plates were stolen from an auto in the car port in the 50 block of Westminster Avenue.

Drug offense: Police charged Michael Ploskodniak, 32, of 1655 Ohltown-McDonald Road, Niles, with possession of synthetic marijuana.

Robbery: A woman is accused of punching a victim and taking a wallet and cellphone in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.

Theft: Police charged Michael Pendland, 24, of 261 S. Main St., in the theft of a $105.68 Garmin GPS at Walmart.

Theft: A television was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Theft: Jewelry was stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 5000 block of Argonne Drive.

Theft: A debit card was stolen and used at Shotz, 3713 Oakwood Ave.

Criminal damaging: Siding was damaged at a home in the 3000 block of Edinburgh Drive.

Theft: A theft was reported at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Nov. 29

Aggravated robbery: Thomas Gary, 24, homeless, was arrested on charges of kidnapping, aggravated robbery, receiving stolen property and carrying a concealed weapon. Kaylon Blair, 23, of 364 E. Auburndale Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of complicity to aggravated robbery. The two are accused of robbery at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road, of an undetermined amount of cash from the register, cellphones belonging to an employee and a cordless phone from the store.

Theft: A 1988 Buick LeSabre was stolen at Knight Tower, 107 Westchester Drive.

Breaking and entering: Davidson’s, 3636 Canfield Road was broken into and the cash box stolen, possibly by an employee.

Warrant: Police arrested Tera Tuchek, 21, of 622 N. Hazelwood Ave., Youngstown, on a warrant for failure to appear on a probation violation.

Burglary: Numerous items were stolen from an apartment in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

Burglary: A home in the 3000 block of Monaca Avenue was burglarized, but it is not known if anything was taken.

Theft: A GPS was stolen from an auto in the 3000 block of Black Oak Lane.

Attempted breaking and entering: An unattached garage was broken into in the 50 block of N. Kimberly Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was scratched at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: An air compressor was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Allendale Avenue.

Domestic violence: Stephen Louis, 42, of 4227 Burkey Road, was arrested on the charge.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged intentionally with a shopping cart at Marc’s, 4755 Mahoning Ave.

Nov. 30

Theft: Aluminum flashing was taken at a home in the 30 block of Harold Lane.

Theft: A Hoover carpet cleaner was taken at Walmart.

Criminal damaging: Scratches to a vehicle were reported at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Theft by deception: A female victim reported she had purchased items for a male friend on several occasions when he said he would pay her back, but he never did at a home in the 1000 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Disturbance: Two men were fighting when a car was being repossessed in the driveway of a home in the 3000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Aggravated robbery: An employee of Fuel Mart at Seventy-Six Drive and state Route 46 was robbed at gunpoint.

Criminal trespassing: Mylindsie Allison, 21, of 937 Mable Ave., Youngstown was arrested for criminal trespassing at Pilot, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Recovered property: A purse was recovered after being stolen from an auto parked at Wedgewood Pizza, 1622 S. Raccoon Road.

Aggravated menacing: A woman is accused of aggravated menacing at home in the 30 block of South Edgehill Avenue.

Dec. 1

Theft: Four wheels and tires were stolen at a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Theft: Four unidentified females stole items at Big Lots, 4341 Kirk Road.

Counterfeit currency: Five $50 bills were passed at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

Assault: A “road rage” incident was reported at a home in the 1000 block of Brockton Drive.

Dec. 2

Drug offense: Dustin Joy, 18, of 4843 Westchester Drive, No. 205 was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Counterfeit currency: Two $50 bills were passed at Salsitas, 5495 Clarkins Drive.

Theft: Two GPS systems and an iPhone were stolen from an auto at a home in the 4000 block of Shadow Oak Drive.

Counterfeit currency: Two counterfeit $10 bills were passed at Bob Evans, 1100 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: An iPod was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at a home in the 4000 block of Shadow Oak Drive.

Theft: A wooden sled was stolen at Second Time Consignment, 4954 Mahoning Ave.

Counterfeit currency: A counterfeit $50 bill was passed at Salsitas.

Counterfeit currency: Two counterfeit $50 bills were passed at Pilot, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Drug offense: Lolli Hood-Shultz, 38, of 62 Trumbull Ave., Campbell, was arrested on charges of drug abuse of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dec. 3

Animal complaint: Scott Rhoads, 39, of 292 Carnegie Ave., was issued a summons for a barking dog at a home in the 3000 block of South Wendover Avenue.

Theft: An unidentified man stole food at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Falsification: Trenton Nord, 21, of 721 Oxford St., Youngstown was arrested for falsification at the Economy Inn, 1051 N. Canfield-Niles Road. Police said he also was involved in passing counterfeit bills.

Warrant: Michael Koval, 31, of 3671 Burkey Road, Youngstown was arrested on a theft charge.

Counterfeit currency: A counterfeit $10 bill was passed at Pilot Oil.

Burglary: A television, computer and router were stolen from an apartment in the 1000 block of Fountain Square Drive.

Robbery: Michael Marsh, 34, of 4499 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna was arrested for robbery at Walmart, for stealing ponchos, parkas and utility knives valued at $173.46.

Dec. 4

Disorderly conduct: Jason Martin, 33,of 214 Granada Ave., Youngstown, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct in the parking lot of the Wedgewood Plaza, 1743 S. Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: Pellet holes were found on a window at Sandwich Factory, 15 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Burglary: Two firearms were taken, a .45 Ruger and a SKS assault rifle at a home in the 3000 block of Mildred Street.

Burglary: A wallet was taken from an apartment in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.

Identity theft: A female’s cellphone billing address was changed, and her ex-husband is a suspect at a home in the 5000 block of Colgate Drive.

Breaking and entering: Entry was gained to Golden Glow Tanning, 5600 Mahoning Ave., in the past two weeks and tools and other items were removed.

Drug offense: Richard Reid, 33, of 341 N. Yorkshire Blvd., was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia at Bill’s Place, 4771 Mahoning Ave.

Drug offense: Robert Holobaugh, 40, of 427 High Ave., Niles was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.
