Seven people became U.S. citizens in a naturalization ceremony Thursday before Probate Judge Mark A. Belinky, with Anthony Vivo, Mahoning County clerk of courts, administering the oath of citizenship.

The new citizens, their hometowns, and countries of origin, are: Xiu Mei Chen of Youngstown and Jin Yan Chen of Poland, both from the People’s Republic of China; Tolulanu Oshonowo, Boardman, Nigeria; Juan Manuel Martinez, Mineral Ridge, Mexico; Sm Azizur Rahman, Austintown, Bangladesh; Marlene Nerina Wall, Austintown, United Kingdom; and Dalia Edward Bassili Soliman, Canfield, Egypt.

2 indicted in robbery

A federal grand jury has indicted two Trumbull County residents in a bank robbery, the U.S. District Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio reports.

One-count indictments were returned Thursday against Nicole R. Matanin, 29, of Warren and Justin R. Bowman, 29, of Niles. They are charged in a robbery Oct. 31 at the Key Bank on Canton Road in Akron.
