WEDNESDAY
Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be available for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. Robbins United Methodist Church, 100 High St., Washingtonville, is selling homemade soup by the quart. Costs start at $6 per quart. Drive-through pick up time is 4 to 6 p.m. For more information, call the church at 330-427-2035.
THURSDAY
Calvary United Methodist Church of North Lima, 12062 South Ave., will have a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out). Dinners cost $6 and include stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, green beans and a brownie. No need to get out of the car — just drive up to the church and your dinners will be brought out to you. A portion of the profits support mission projects.
VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners with meatballs, salad, bread and coffee or tea from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Carryouts are $6.25.
FRIDAY
American Legion F.D.R. Post 560, 103 12th St., Campbell, will serve fish or shrimp dinners from noon to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Meals include macaroni and cheese or french fries, coleslaw or haluski, and bread and butter. Desserts and beverages will be available. There will be a 50-50 raffle. American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m. each Friday: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; or shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. Each meal is $8 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and free for those 3 and under. A fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw is $5.50. For carryouts call (330) 654-5630.
Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi, while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.
Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.
Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed early from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30-11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528. and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot Lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.
St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance. Dec. 16 will be the final sale of the year.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Frozen pirogi will be sold while supplies last. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available. Dec. 16 will be the last sale until after the holidays.
St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Dec. 16 will be the final sale of the year. Sales will resume Jan. 6.
St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Walk-in orders will be available. SATURDAY
Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, is having its annual Christmas cookie walk from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. . Homemade cookies will be sold by the dozen, and there will be homemade soup for sale by the quart. The Bethel Piecemakers will have hand sewn items for sale.
New Waterford United Methodist Church, 46925 St. State St., (state Route 46) New Waterford, is having a pancakes plus breakfast for a donation only. Serving time is between 8 and 11 a.m.
Smith Corners United Methodist Church, corner of Kirk Road and Canfield Niles Road, serves an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast the second Saturday of each month from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The meal includes sausage, and juice, coffee or tea. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for kids 10 and under. Toddlers eat free.
SUNDAY
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church hall. Cost is $7 for adults and $4.50 for children. All carryouts are $7; containers are 75 cents or you can provide your own.

National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will accept orders for nut and apricot kolachi through Dec. 12. The prices are $10 for nut and $12 for apricot. Pickup will be Dec. 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Dec. 18 from 11 to 3. They also are selling homemade wedding soup for $8 per quart. Fowler Fire Department will sponsor its monthly pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 18 at the fire station, state Route 193. The prices follow: seniors, $5; adults, $6; children, $4; and free for preschoolers.
