Train club schedules holiday open house
WARREN
Riverside Railroad Train Club, Mahoning Valley’s only public large-scale garden railroad club, will have a Christmas open house from noon to 5 p.m Dec. 17 and 18 at Warren SCOPE Center, 220 W. Market St. Raffle tickets for trains will be sold at the door. Admission is $3; children under 12 are free. For more information call 330-399-8846.
Auxiliary elects new officers

Members of St. Anthony’s Auxiliary of Struthers met Nov. 14 at Johnny’s Restaurant and elected officers for 2012.
The new officers follow: Arlene DeChellis, president; Carmel Quattro, vice president; Lora Opsitnik, corresponding secretary; Julie Visingardi, financial secretary and treasurer; Floreann D’Amato, Jenny Domico and Julie Vasel, trustees; Rita Varacalli, sergeant at arms; Carol Mogulich, flag bearer; Mary Quattro, orator; Marie Kondar, head telephone girl; and Teresa Colista, editor.
Presbyterian Church schedules play group
MINERAL RIDGE
The First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., has a play group that meets the second Tuesday of each month from 3 to 5 p.m. in the fellowship hall. “Presby Kids and Friends” is designed to allow children from up to age four to play in a safe environment. Toys are provided, but kids are encouraged to take riding toys, play mats, tunnels, etc. to share. The next meeting will be Dec. 13. For more information call the church at 330-652-5712.
