NEW YORK

Former Youngstown resident Thomas John Williams of Chicago, son of the late Idella Cora Thomas, who lived in Youngstown, and Brad Hauger of Chicago, son of Lucille Hauger Akers of Clearwater, Fla., exchanged marriage vows during a 3 p.m. ceremony Oct. 30 at The Historic Riverside Church in New York City.

Performing the ceremony were the Rev. Dr. Arnold Thomas, pastor of education at the church, and the Rev. Dr. Dennis Wiley, pastor of Covenant Baptist United Church of Christ in Washington, D.C.

A reception afterward took place at the Amsterdam Restaurant in New York City.

The couple took a wedding trip to California. They reside in Chicago.

Attending the couple were Geri Griffin, Steven Young Lee, Louis Flores and Jaqu Greg.

Williams, who goes by T.J., is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at New York Theological Seminary.

Hauger is employed as a business manager after graduating from Indiana University.
