Coroner investigating Pa. toddler's death in Erie
ERIE, Pa. (AP) — A coroner and district attorney are investigating the death of a toddler a day after the child was found not breathing at his home.
The Erie County coroner was conducting an autopsy today on the body of the 19-month-old boy from Lawrence Township, an Erie suburb.
District Attorney Jack Daneri says investigators want to see if the autopsy reveals anything about the boy’s death before they comment further.
Township police say a family member found the boy not breathing about 4 p.m. Sunday. The boy was pronounced dead at UPMC Hamot hospital in Erie.
Erie County Deputy Coroner Korac Timon tells the Erie Times-News the boy didn’t have any health issues and there were no obvious injuries to him.
