Ashley Shuttleworth of Canfield and Brett Bartholomew of Boardman exchanged wedding vows in an afternoon ceremony July 2 at St. Michael Church.

The Rev. Terry Hazel officiated for the daughter of Robert and Karen Shuttleworth of Canfield and the son of Joseph and Gail Bartholomew of Boardman.

A reception followed at The Links at Firestone Farms in Columbiana. After a Hawaiian honeymoon, the couple live in Boardman.

The bride wore a white strapless A-line gown fashioned with a beaded bodice.

Her honor attendant was her sister, Lynn Shodd, who wore a teal-colored gown, as did the bridesmaids, Marissa Davies and Deena Griffith, sisters of the groom, and Alaina Rauber, Sheila Schrader and Allison West. The bride’s niece Kalleigh Shodd was the flower girl.

Doug Shodd, brother-in-law of the bride, was best man, and groomsmen were Robert Shuttleworth, the bride’s brother; Matthew Davies and Doug Griffith, brothers-in-law of the groom; William Rauber; and Clayton Williams.

Mrs. Bartholomew earned a degree in elementary education from Bethany College and attends Youngstown State University in pursuit of a master’s degree in literacy. She is a first-grade teacher in Youngstown City Schools.

Mr. Bartholomew graduated from Bethany College with a degree in accounting and is pursuing a master’s in business administration at YSU. He is assistant controller for Ohio Valley Energy in Austintown.
