Three injured in two-car crash in Champion

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on state Route 45.

A 2000 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by Edwin Sly, 44, of Mesopotamia went left of center on state Route 45 north, near the mile 14 post, about 6:20 p.m. Saturday crashing head on into a van traveling south, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

The 2000 Ford wheelchair-transport van, was driven by 34-year-old Alanna Bailey of Warren. She was transporting Estella Wilthew, 86, of Champion, who was seated in the back of the van.

All were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the highway patrol.

The crash remains under investigation.
