Guy Hughes, a Braceville native and creator of Guy’s Award Winning BBQ sauce, will have a grand opening for his new carryout restaurant at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The new location is at 2545 Belmont Ave.
This past summer, Hughes was the winner of Best Ribs and Best Sauce at the Eastwood Rib Fest and won Best Ribs, Best Sauce and People’s Choice at the Conneaut Rib Fest.
Guy’s BBQ Carry Out will provide options of ribs, chicken, pork, burgers, seafood, various sides, and also introduce the only sugar-free wings in town.
Guy offers a 10 percent discount to YSU students with a valid ID.
The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 10 p.m. Saturdays.
YWCA hosting free career workshop
Youngstown
The YWCA of Youngstown and New Castle School of Trades will host a free career orientation session from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the YWCA of Youngstown, 25 W. Rayen Ave.
The workshop is targeted at women looking for employment, a career change, higher-wage jobs or career stability.
The free session is open to the public. The program is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor

FSA announces crop-loss protocol

Ohio’s Farm Service Agency is accepting enrollment for the 2010 crop losses under the Supplemental Revenue Assistance Payments.
Eligible producers who suffered losses during the 2010 crop year are encouraged to visit their local FSA office to learn more about the SURE program. FSA also has SURE information available at www.fsa.usda.gov/sure.
Grain farmers event slated for Dec. 15
WILMINGTON
The third annual Ohio Grain Farmers Symposium will take place Dec. 15 at the Roberts Centre and Holiday Inn in Wilmington. Grain farmers throughout the state will have the opportunity to hear about the latest agricultural issues impacting their operations.
Registration begins at 7 a.m., and the early-bird marketing report will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Topics discussed during the general session include a Washington outlook, overview of water-quality issues and consumer perceptions about farming.
Attendees also will have the opportunity to attend a variety of breakout sessions with topics such as Marcellus and Utica shale-gas issues in Ohio, planning for the 2012 markets and preparing for water-quality testing regulations.

Zynga hopes to raise $1 billion in IPO
NEW YORK
Hoping to harvest some fresh cash, the online game company behind “FarmVille” said Friday that it plans to raise $1 billion in an initial public offering of up to 100 million shares.
Zynga Inc. is the latest in a spate of IPOs by Internet companies this year, ranging from professional networking service LinkedIn Corp. to the online deals site Groupon Inc. Facebook’s public debut is expected sometime after April next year. Facebook could fetch as much as $10 billion in its offering.
