Champion 57, Hubbard 53

CHAMPION

Mackenzie Kiser scored 17 points to go with 14 rebounds and four assists and the Flashes outscored Hubbard 28-13 in the fourth quarter. Emma Nicholas scored eight of her 11 in the fourth for the Flashes. Both teams shot 20 of 47 from the field, but Champion (1-0) went 14 of 27 from the line, compared to 10 of 14 for Hubbard (2-1). Julia Clemente scored 14 for the Eagles and Alena Burzynski had 11.

Lorain 44, Warren Harding 36

WARREN

Anita Brown and Briana McCurdy each scored 15 points for the Raiders. Brown also had nine rebounds and McCurdy had seven steals. Harding held a 34-33 lead after three quarters, but squandered the lead by just scoring two points in the fourth. Breanna Fortney led Lorain with 14 points.

Salem 57, Alliance 27

ALLIANCE

Lindsey Foster led all scorers with 12 points and she added 10 rebounds for Salem. Katherine Stiff had six points, seven assists and three steals. Megan Lehwald helped with seven assists, as Cassie Davidson chipped in with eight points and six rebounds. After a 20-1 first quarter lead, the Quakers coasted to an easy win.

West Branch 62, Canton South 42

BELOIT

Rebekah Zets had 17 points, seven steals and five assists and Melinda Trimmer and Pavin Heath each added nine for the Warriors (2-0, 2-0 Northeastern Buckeye Conference), who outscored Canton South 25-12 in the first quarter. Joelle Martin had 18 points and nine rebounds for South (0-2, 0-2).
