YOUNGSTOWN

Atty. Alan Jenkins’ historic novel “Steel Dreams” examines the 1930-31 court battle over the merger of Bethlehem Steel and Youngstown Sheet & Tube, a case that represents the high-water mark of what was then one of the fastest-growing cities in America.

Jenkins, a 1976 graduate of Boardman High School, has his story line visiting many familiar sites, including Sheet & Tube, Stambaugh Auditorium, The Palace Theatre, The Youngstown Vindicator, Mill Creek Park and Little Beaver Creek in Columbiana County.

An interwoven love story further spices up the pages of this novel.
