Fitch students attend Interact conference

On Nov. 13, five members of the Fitch Interact club with their adviser, Gary Reel, attended the District Interact Conference at the Salem Community Center. Attending were 150 students from 15 Interact Clubs, which is a high school branch of Rotary International.

Locally, students from Canfield, Boardman, Struthers, Austintown, East Palestine, Salem and Warren were present. Topics ranged from club projects to scholarships, exchange student opportunities, college Rotaract clubs, Group Study Exchanges, networking and service opportunities.

Breakfast, lunch and gym time were also incorporated in this program planned by Gina Dermotta from Salem and Tom Barringer from Struthers.
