The Church of the Holy Angels was the site where Caroline Louise Thickel of Oakwood, Ohio, and Stephen Dean Kline of Canfield exchanged wedding vows June 11 in a rite solemnized by the Rev. Daniel Meyer.
Afterward the couple received congratulations from guests at the Dayton Country Club in Oakwood.
The bride, daughter of Thomas and Nancy Thickel of Oakwood, and the groom, son of Dean and Gayle Kline of Canfield, honeymooned in Hawaii and are living in the Hyde Park area of Cincinnati.
The bride wore a strapless off-white silk tulle and lace ball gown, which featured a chapel-length train. The gown was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, and the skirt was adorned with silk organza rosettes.
Alexandra Thickel, sister of the bride, served as her honor attendant. She wore a wisteria-colored gown, as did the bridesmaids, Lauren Randall, sister of the bride; Makenzie Kline, sister of the groom; Ellie Randall and Abbey Randall, nieces of the bride; and Jen Klum Gopal, Maggie Anderson Pasqualone and Christina Mannarino. Theoren Brown, a cousin of the groom, was flower girl.
The groom’s brother, Ben Kline, served as his best man, and groomsmen were Leo Sorice, Kyle Hencher, Chad Kronauge, Tom Rogers, Ed Gopal, Nick Adams and Ryan DeJoe.
The groom’s cousin Gehrig Brown participated as the ring bearer, and Jeff Carlson and Mike Powell ushered guests.
Mrs. Kline earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and retail management from Ohio University. She is enrolled in the College of Education at the University of Cincinnati and holds a teaching position at The Hyde Park Play School.
The groom graduated from OU, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance. He is pursuing a master’s degree in accounting at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Business.
