Victorian Players update holiday one-acts

The Victorian Players’ annual holiday show, “In the Spirit of Christmas,” will return for a two-weekend run that opens Friday.

Sam Luptak Jr. will direct two of the three one-acts that comprise the show. The third piece, “Shakespeare’s ‘A Christmas Carol’, is an all-new show written by Dylan White, who also will direct.

The cast of “Shakespeare’s” includes John Cox, Kris Harrington, Hollis Bernacki, Candace DiLullo, Evelyn Moore, Johnny Pecano, Terry Shears, Jason A. Green, Denise Sculli, Miranda Canacci, Gillian Canacci and Jake Cox.

“The Most Beautiful Star” will feature Gillian Canacci, Miranda Canacci, Craig Conrad, Chuck Kettering, Brittani Ketcham, Hunter Thomas and Vinnie Dragos. “The Office Party” will feature Chuck Kettering, Brittiani Ketcham and Vinnie Dragos.

All three shows are being stage managed by Dorene White.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and Dec. 10; and 2 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 11. There will be no performance Dec. 9

Tickets are $10 ($8 for students and seniors) and group and school rates are available. For reservations, call 330-746-5455. Each ticket buyer will receive free coupons for Philadelphia Candies, the corporate partner for “In the Spirit of Christmas.”
