OVI checkpoint tonight in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN — The Mahoning County Operating a Vehicle Impaired Task Force, in conjunction with the the Ohio State Highway Patrol, will have a check point from 11 p.m. tonight until 3 a.m. Saturday in the township.

A task force official wouldn't give the specific location, but a press release says the checkpoint is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers. The task force recommends motorists to make arrangements to get home safely if they plan on drinking tonight.
