YOUNGSTOWN
Police are looking for the man who ran out of an East Side convenience store with merchandise and threatened store employees with a handgun.
The man, described as white, 26 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 180 pounds with a mustache and wearing a white hat, blue jeans and a black shirt, went into the Red and White Store on Lans-downe on Sunday night. He walked to the counter with seven shirts as if ready to make a purchase. Reports say the employee and would-be thief agreed upon a price, but the man then said he would just take the shirts.
Reports say the man ran out of the store with the shirts then pointed a gun at employees who began to chase him.
Employees at the store told police the man is a regular customer and could be identified on surveillance cameras.
