REUNIONS


Campbell Memorial High School Alumni Association will have a reorganizational meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the high school cafeteria. All alumni are welcome.

Chaney High School January and June Classes of 1946 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Denny’s in Austintown. All classmates and their spouses are welcome. No reservations are needed.

E.W. Bliss Salem employees will have their eighth reunion at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rainbow Lakes, outside Leetonia. There is no covered dish meal this year, but hot and cold beverages will be provided.

East High School Class of 1964 will have a picnic reunion from 1 to 6 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Rotary Community Building in Fair Park, 320 Oak St., Canfield. Cost is $20 per person for a buffet meal from 2 to 5 p.m. of fried chicken; hot sausage, peppers and onions; pasta and meatballs; potato; vegetable; and salad. No alcoholic beverages are permitted. No tickets will be sold at the door. Checks should be made payable to East High School Class of 64 and mailed to Sandy (Santillo) Reed, 3216 Glen Oaks Drive, Youngstown, OH 44511. All ’60s classmates from East High are welcome to attend.

South High School January and June Classes of 1951 will have their 60th reunion Friday through Sunday. Activities will include a reception at the Four Square Club from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, a bus tour of Mill Creek Park and the city of Youngstown at 10 a.m. Saturday, and a banquet at A La Cart Catering in Canfield at 6 p.m. Sunday. South High School Class of 1961 will have a reunion Friday through Sunday. A casual get-reacquainted party is planned for 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Youngstown Club, 201 E. Commerce St., downtown Youngstown. On Saturday, a dinner-dance will take place at Holiday Inn, 7410 South Ave., Boardman. Cost is $45 per person. Cocktails will be served at 5:30 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner at 7 and dancing until 11:30. A cash bar will be available. A class photo will be taken promptly at 6:20; photo orders will be taken afterward at a cost of $12. On Sunday, a brunch will take place at The Garden Cafe in the Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park, 123 McKinley Ave., off Mahoning Avenue. Special price for the meal will be $10.95 per person for the South High School classmates. At 12:30, a bus will be available in the parking area for a trip to the South Side, a guided tour of the old school around 1 p.m., and a tour of many old and new sights in Youngstown. The bus is to return to the Davis Center around 3 p.m. Cost of the bus tour is $4 per person. Reservations for the tour are required and will be first come, first served. Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1971 will celebrate its 40th-year reunion this weekend, beginning Saturday when class members will meet at 1 p.m. at the Western Reserve Village at Canfield Fairgrounds for pictures and a day at the fair. On Sunday, the reunion dinner and dance will take place from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, 7410 South Ave., Boardman. Reservations are still being accepted until Friday.
