Pumpkin Festival set at Penn State Shenango

Penn State Shenango’s second annual Fall Pumpkin Festival Sept. 16-18 on Vine Avenue, downtown, will feature rides, games, food vendors and bands each night. Presale ride ticket wrist bands are available at the campus in Sharon Hall, Room 103, for $12. Cost during the festival is $15.
On Friday, the sound of Belmont at 7 p.m. will be followed by The Zou at 8 p.m.; on Saturday at 8 p.m. The Hern Brothers will take the stage; and on Sunday at 8 p.m. Graphic Pink will perform until the end of the festival.
The three-day event will include a pumpkin pie and pumpkin roll baking contest; exhibitions by local cheer, dance, and karate studios; a 5K race to benefit Sharon Fraternal Order of Police; a Pumpkin Tent where kids can paint their own pumpkin; craft vendors; a basket raffle; 50-50 drawings; and a car cruise-in. Penn State Berkey Creamery Ice Cream and Ye Olde College Diner grilled stickies will also be sold.
Carnival hours are 5 to 11 p.m. Sept. 16; 1 to 11 p.m. Sept. 17; and 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 18. General admission is free.
