FAIRFIELD, Ohio

Nearly 100 volunteers have spent more time combing wooded areas and other parts of a southwest Ohio city for signs of a missing 22-year-old woman.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports Saturday’s effort was the sixth search since Katelyn Markham disappeared. The graphic arts student was last seen at her home in Fairfield, north of Cincinnati, on Aug. 13.

Her fianc , 22-year-old John Carter of Fairfield, reported her missing the next day. He has repeatedly said he doesn’t know what happened to Markham.

Her dog, car and purse were found at her home. Police have said there wasn’t evidence of foul play, but they couldn’t rule it out.

Markham’s uncle, Rob Ottenjohn, says no solid clues have turned up but the family is hoping for the best.
