Texas (76-59) had lost seven of 10 games, watching its division lead against the Angels shrink from seven games to two, before winning the finale against Los Angeles.

David Price struck out a franchise-record 14 in seven dominant innings, Desmond Jennings hit a pair of solo home runs and the Rays beat Toronto.

Joey Votto led off the 14th inning with his second home run of the game, lifting the Reds over Washington.

LOS ANGELES

Kevin Kouzmanoff drove in his first four runs since joining Colorado this week, and the Rockies needed five relievers to hold off the Dodgers.
