Witmers observe 60th anniversary at family farm

Ralph and Doris (Blosser) Witmer of Salem marked their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 14 during a celebration with friends and family members at their family farm.

The Witmers have been owners of Witmer’s Inc. in Columbiana for 60 years. They also are partners in Das Dutch Haus Restaurant and The Dutch Village Inn and Shoppes, also in Columbiana. They are members of Midway Mennonite Church in Columbiana.

The couple have nine children: Ellen (Greg) Witmer Bowman of Salem; Irene (Dusty) Witmer Rhodes of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Miriam (Jay) Witmer Reesor of Markham, Ontario; Grace (Alan) Witmer Styer of Salem; Sharon (John Francomacaro) Witmer of Alexandria, Va.; Rachel (David) Witmer Martin of Akron, Pa.; Nelson (Kristine) Witmer of Salem; Wayne (Luisa) Witmer of Broadway, Va.; and Rebecca (Tom) Witmer O’Connor of Pittsford, N.Y.

They also have 26 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
