MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at eight locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance. Transportation is available for those 60 or older; call 330-884-2511 to set up. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, Aug. 31: Chicken breast, corn, California blend vegetables, unsweetened peaches, bread, pudding roll or sugar-free cookie, and milk.

Thursday, Sept. 1: Breaded fish on a bun, green beans, sliced carrots, unsweetened applesauce, and milk.

Friday, Sept. 2: Pork riblet, yellow wax beans, spinach, vinegar packet, unsweetened fruit cocktail, frosted cookie, and milk.

Saturday, Sept. 3: Ham, bread, mustard, tossed salad, three-bean salad, apple, fig bar, and milk.

Monday, Sept. 5: Closed for Labor Day.

Tuesday, Sept. 6: Manicotti with sauce, Normandy blend vegetables, diced peaches, Italian bread with margarine, chocolate cupcake or angel food cake, and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.50 per meal.

Wednesday, Aug. 31: Breaded fish on a bun with tartar sauce, spinach, creamed corn, pineapple tidbits, and milk.

Thursday, Sept. 1: Salisbury steak with gravy, cheesy mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, pears, bread with margarine, and milk.

Friday, Sept. 2: Vegetable lasagna, diced carrots, hot mixed fruit, Italian bread with margarine, apple juice, and milk.

Monday, Sept. 5: Closed for Labor Day

Tuesday, Sept. 6: Creamed chicken, mashed potatoes, California mixed vegetables, corn muffin, mandarin oranges, and milk.
